Altria Group is an American company that produces and sells tobacco products. The company was founded in 1985 as Philip Morris Companies Inc. In 2003, the company changed its name to Altria Group, Inc.
Altria Group is one of the largest tobacco product manufacturers in the world. The company produces well-known brands such as Marlboro, L&M, Chesterfield, Parliament, and others. In addition, Altria Group also produces and sells electronic cigarettes and other vaping products.
The company has a wide distribution network and sells its products in more than 150 countries around the world. Altria Group is also a shareholder in Anheuser-Busch InBev, a beer manufacturer.
Altria Group is actively working to reduce the harm caused by tobacco use and develop safer alternatives. The company invests in scientific research and development of new products, such as IQOS - a tobacco heating system that reduces the amount of harmful substances in exhaled smoke.
